• This hotel is a big house that feels like a little cozy unpretentious guest-house, lost in the middle of half demolished hu-tongs neighborhood. Feels typical and exotic, definitely a 'travel experience'. My room was small but nice, and for the price I was happy to have such a charming and full of character place to stay. Location is right behind the very touristy Gulou Da Jie, around Ho Hai lake area, which is absolutely great. Lots of shops, cafes, restaurants (a lot of bad ones too, as it is a very intense tourist area) and litteraly 5minutes away from DADA bar. Hell, I'd go back to Beijing for a weekend just to enjoy a stay in this hotel! Didn't get to experience the service as I checked in very late at night and left early morning.

• Interesting hotel, hard to find. Good price with a great location, I plan to come here often unless I find something cheaper and decent. From what I overheard through the walls the service isn't too good, no hair dryer, lots of 'I'll fix it tomorrow' - s, and typical Chinese laziness from the staff.
